This panel (hand painted by Liz McNeill) was made with button clasps at the knee and ankle. My intention was to create a little bit of movement in between the closures when the model walks.

THE CONSERVATORY -
This was my first show designing for FPA, the Fashion Production Association. Before deciding to commit to a collection, I had no idea how to sew or what fashion design even was. With that being said, I spent the next couple months learning everything I could about how to design and sew clothes.
The theme for this show was rooms of a house. I decided to design my collection based off a conservatory. I wanted to include silhouettes you could find in a conservatory, along with some elements that captured the essence of this room.
