Song - This song is one of my favorites from their new album, Girl With Fish. Listening to anything from this group puts me in a trance. It’s almost dreamy. I love the structure of this song so much. The verses and choruses alternate, while the instrumentals provide shifts in speed and mood.

Album - Feeble Little Horse is a group that my sister introduced me to. They are an indie rock band from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, known for their eclectic blend of shoegaze, noise pop, and lo-fi rock elements. Their music is so unique and fun to listen to. The fuzzy instrumentations sound really good with Lydia Slocum’s airy melodies and emotionally charged lyrics. If you like anything in this style, I highly suggest checking them out.

Song - "Idontcare" by Brakence is a genre-blending track with emotional vocals, glitchy production, and introspective lyrics. Part of his 2019 EP “Bhavana”, this song is packed with emotion. Brakence mostly emphasizes his battle with social expectations and the frustration/empowerment he feels as he navigates life.

Album - Brakence is a singer/songwriter from Columbus, Ohio! (my hometown). I’ve been really obsessed with his music for the past year or so. His distinctive blend of pop, electronic, and hip-hop elements make for one hell of a listening experience. He constantly brings creative production and vocal melodies that hit every time.

Song - This song features a jazzy, layed back instrumental with Mac delivering bars that follow his stream of conscious as he criticizes the superficial nature of celebrations. He reflects on feelings of isolation and the internal void that external festivities can't fill.

Album - Mac Miller was a Pittsburgh-based rapper known for his introspective lyrics and versatile musical style. Mac’s work has been an inspiration to me for so long. I love the way that he delves into complex themes and shares unique perspectives on relationships with people, drugs, and rap. Faces is regarded as one of his best works, delving deep into his personal struggles and existential thoughts.

Song - "Man Down" by Perto is a high-energy, emotionally charged track that blends hyperpop elements with aggressive electronic production. The song features glitchy synths, pounding beats, and distorted vocals layered over a chaotic yet meticulously structured soundscape. This song feels like Perto going insane while the bass and synths crash against each other. Yet its major, so it almost sounds like a remix of an Owl City song.

Album - I just found this guy on Spotify recently. He is a self-taught producer from Sydney. Perto is renowned for his distinctive blend of electronic, hyperpop, and future bass genres. His music is characterized by complex production, powerful basslines, and original melodies that exhibit his artistic creativity. I don’t know too much about him but he definitely is an interesting artist to look out for. It looks like he does some producing work for other talented artists as well.

Song - This song is absolutely magical. Forget it, the entire album was one of the best albums I’ve ever heard. High praise I know. "Forbidden Fruit" explores the complexities of a friendship bordering into a romantic relationship. The narrative follows a character named "Junie" who contemplates moving from being friends to lovers with "Ema," while grappling with uncertainty about her feelings. The song delves into themes of desire, hesitation, and the emotional risks associated with pursuing forbidden or uncharted territories in relationships.

Album - Portraits Of Tracy is the musical project of Tracy Geneviève Amare, a 20 year old self-taught producer and multi-instrumentalist from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This album especially showcased Tracy's ability to convey complex emotions through musical arrangements and different vocal performances. The producing ability and range of this artist is so like incomprehensible to me. Everybody should check out more from this artist; Especially, if you like Tyler the Creator, Steve Lacy, Duckwrth, concept albums, etc.
